Cocktail builder...Thing 19

I know I am skipping around again but I was reading the new things and had to Blog about this one

Who know checking out a site like this could be considered work...I LOVE MY JOB.

Death Valley Sunrise
1 oz of belvedere vodka1 oz of grand marnier (or other orange liqueur)6 oz of orange juicegrenadineicecombine belvedere, grand marnier and orange juice in cocktail shaker with ice. shake well. fill collins glass with ice. drizzle grenadine over ice. strain mixture over ice into glass. garnish with orange, lemon, and lime wedges.

I had to include the recipe since this is one of t he places I am hitting while on my vacation.

Seriously, good site but I don't see many practical applications for the library (unless you have a drink recipe reference question), but for a tought day you might want to come here to find a way to unwind a bit after work. I like that you can look up a drink or look up a recipe. Good way to find uses for the bottle of stuff you never heard of that Aunt Millie brought over last Christmas. Hope everyone enjoys the site, but use it responsibly!!!

Library Thing

I love this site... the idea is wonderful. I like that you can see the reviews written by other readers and see what they are reading. I have only played around with the site a little I see already there there is a lot here to use. I also have a feeling I might be able to use this to help my most difficult customer with readers advisory, many many days I am pulling my hair out trying to find her a book she would like. All my other readers advisory outlets have not helped much with her.

This site is so very easy to use and I am not very technologically savvy...as you can tell from my last blog post. I like also that you can read a bit about the people who have also read your books, just because 2 people enjoyed the same book doesn't mean you will enjoy others they have read but by looking at their profile you can see if you have similar interest or reading habits which will increase the likely hood that you will enjoy another book they read. I just can't say how much I really like this site.

Almost gave up...

OK so I was ready to give up. I was stuck on a few of the items and I am having a lot of trouble finding time to fit this into my schedule ( I am the only librarian here) and I currently don't have a computer at home, but I decided to skip a head a little and I am happy I did. I'll have to get some one to help me with the RSS and the Image Generator but I am going on vacation for 2 weeks and I'll worry about that when I get back. I have a few people in mind...my sister should be expecting a phone call. I am starting the think I might be able to finish this after all.
